Dr. Seuss Dinner!

Wednesday, March 2nd is Dr. Seuess's Birthday and is a day to celebrate for our family! We love Dr. Seuess! We made some crafts with the kids and had a little Birthday dinner!

Hop on Pop -CORN!

Blue jello -- For the One fish, Two fish, red fish blue fish

Cat in the Hat cookies

And while we were doing our crafts Aubs created this plate of Green eggs and ham -- All from her own cute little head!

Our actual edible version!

We gave the kids each a Seuss book to add to our library-- Daddy read Gracie hers while she enjoyed a little cookie

This is the funniest! I put this book out while I was getting dinner ready. Carter is getting so excited about reading and is reading several small words. He is always asking me what things say and wanting to know what different books are about. He looked at this one and asked, "Mom....Does that book say, There's a Monster in my bum?!" Oh boy, I laughed for a long time! And the rest of us did the rest of the night!

It was a fun dinner and a fun night together! Grandma Netty even came! She and Kel share a special Seuss bond-- When we moved away to AZ, she would call Mikelle weekly and read her Dr. Seuss over the phone! Can't wait for next year's party!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DR.SEUSS!

You continue to inspire me Amy! If I was a young mom I would be trying to follow in your footsteps. You are in my book as one of the most creative, energetic moms I know! AMAZING!!!

That sounds like fun. My kids loved Dr. Seuss as well. One day, while doing Joy School with Brock, we were going to have green eggs and ham. He was so excited he couldn't wait. Then...I made those green eggs and ham. All of a sudden, it didn't seem so appealing. Green eggs didn't look good to him and he wouldn't touch them!!
