India Mission Reunion

Went to Ry's Mission Reunion this past weekend. For the India, Bangalore mission. We haven't been for a few years so it was really fun to see old friends and enjoy some yummy Indian food too!

Elder Lindsey-

And the Allens- fun thing about them, not only did they serve in the same mission (after Ry had left) but Sis. Allen was Ry's Kindergarten teacher and the Allens also live in my home ward where I grew up-- Still down the street from my Dad and Rosie!

One last fun story....These are sandals that Ry bought in India when he was on his mission. He bought them for his future wife (keep in mind we didn't know each other then) When we got married and were going through boxes and pulling things out, he found them and gave them to me, and as you can see from the wear, they are a perfect fit! And seriously my favorite sandals, so comfortable! But I don't wear them very much-- I wore them to the reunion though! Someday we hope to visit India and I'll get as many pairs as I can fit in a suitcase! Kind of our own little Indian Cinderella story!

General RS training

Had a great night last night attending the General RS training with Sis Beck and her presidency at the Salt Lake Tabernacle! I love the temple in the Spring and had to get a quick shot of the beautiful blooms before we went in! It was an amazing night and I left feeling spiritually fed and a good jump start for all that's ahead! I love my presidency and the sisters whom I serve with! Feel very blessed to be a Daughter of God and be a part of this amazing gospel! So excited for the Conference weekend ahead!

Mikelle's B-day

Can't believe our girl is 11!!! Where in the world did the time go!? I am so proud of this cute gal and what a good gal she is! She truly cares so much about others, is a great friend, a wonderful sister and daughter, a great baby sitter, and does great juggling good grades in school, piano, drama club, choral, and karate! And has been enjoying sewing too! She's a well rounded gal and we love her to death!

We had a Hawaiian Luau on Sat. -She has cute friends and we had so much fun with them all!

Eleven year olds are growing out of goody bags by this point, so I thought it would be fun to make them each their own private beach in a jar, personalized with their pics (I took them right when they got there and we finished them before they left) They turned out fun!

That afternoon Grandma came to pick up the B-Day girl for a special date-- They went shopping and to Beauty and the Beast at Capitol Theatre!

MOAB!

We went down to beautiful MOAB for a few friends and I to run a HALF MARATHON! It was so fun to have our families come along and get a few sites in the say before and after the race! This is me the day before- We drove the whole 13.1 miles down this beautiful road (I about died when I saw really how far we'd be running!) :-/

At the finish! We DID IT!!!!! It was way windy which made for a hard but we did it! It felt so good to accomplish something like this and do it with good friends! Bonding at its finest!

Saturdays are busy at our house -- This particular day we had three things going at the same time - or back to back :) First karate class!

Right after karate was over, it was time for dance camp.....

and while those were going on we were having sewing class upstairs taught by my dear friend Diane! :)

Ry's G-ma has been in the hospital and then a rehab facility getting her broken hip healed! She has done so well and is now home! We had a fun Sunday going to see her and have dinner with her too!

Dr. Seuess's Birthday is a favorite day in our house! This year, I figured out how to sew a cat in the Hat HAT! It was so much fun and the kids loved wearing it! So we had a little Seuess Shoot and had some friends over for after school snacks! It was so much fun!
