Today we ran upon some unexpected FREE apricots! And how can I turn down free produce? I CAN'T! Especially when we love apricot ANYTHING so much! The kids all helped pick and we got a lot done in a little time! And the apricots were beautiful!
Some were even the size of small peaches!

We ended up with 10 pints of Apricot syrup, 6 half pints of low sugar jam, and 12 half pints of regular apricot jam! With a few more to do tomorrow (fruit leather maybe?) I just love the feeling of putting beautiful canned goods on the shelf and love that my girls get so into it too!

Wow! You have had a lot going. I don't quite know where you get the energy to pickle, bottle, photograph, DI shop, camp and cook with dutch ovens. The important thing is that you are creating memories that will last a lifetime and more.
Ditto on I don't know you get the energy...that is definitely one of your gifts of the Spirit! Your filled jars are beautiful and the girls will always remember canning with mom :O)
