Just like Mom used to make!

Today I had some fun with my gals and we made our favorite Thanksgiving "MUST" My Mom's cranberry relish! I thought I'd include the recipe and a few pics to show -- I love it because it's so easy adn the girls pretty much did the whole thing! I use a grinder attachment on my Kitchenaid but you could also use a food processor. Here's the recipe:

CRANBERRY RELISH

3 c raw cranberries
1 small orange 1 small apple 1 1/2 sugar dash of cinnamon dash of nutmeg Grind all together (Everything -- rind and skins too) And sugar and spices, put in jars and freeze- thaw before and eat with turkey, sandwiches, casseroles, etc.! YUMMY!

What a wonderful tradition! One of our favorite dishes that we like to eat is carrot ring. Oh the ecstacy. I am sad to inform you that all the leftovers are gone now and we are anxiously awaiting the next time we can enjoy this treat.
P.S. loved the pic of the apple, orange and cranberry on your counter top.
