Carter's family party

Carter's ROCKET cake--

We did a "soup bar" for dinner! It was fun and everyone could make it like they like it! Tomato soup and chicken broth --then just add what toppings you like!

Took some flowers from my garden to visit Mom-- We had our annual night of balloons too that we do to remember her. Hard to believe that it's been 8 years! Miss her so much--maybe even more-- Now that our kids are growing and so many things happen that I wish she could see or hear, laugh with, and just "be" here. But at the same time, I know she is right here and close to me every day! Just grateful for the legacy she has left us and for the example she has set for me that I try hard to follow every day! Love you forever and always Mom!

Gracie went and plopped herself right down at the end of the night and sat just like this for the longest time. I think she is pretty close to Grandma and just wonder what she is thinking.....

Carter's friend Birthday party

For Carter's party this year we did a "SPACE and ROCKET" theme! He as so excited!

It was a fun day and we are so glad he has such cute friends! Gotta love BOYS!

SOCCER!

Carter enjoyed playing soccer this past season with Farmington Flash!

He liked picking grass and hanging out a little more than running the fields but by the last game he had caught on (we hope)

The Sunflowers is our garden this year have been so much fun! They got bigger than I have ever seen them! The only thing that I'd change about them is if they'd bloom a little longer! I love them!!!

Just PEACHY!

I cannot even say how excited I get to have peaches ready-- Granted, there are only about 12 this year--but that's more than last year! When we moved from our home in Kaysville we had a HUGE, beautiful peach tree that gave us a large crop every year-- One of the things I miss most about that yard! Then we moved to Flagstaff and couldn't do fruit trees due to the elevation! So when we moved back, the first thing we bought was peach trees! Two dwarf trees and one regular! These little peaches are ready and we can't wait to eat 'em!

Back to SCHOOL!

Where in the world did the Summer go???? Wow- That was seriously the fastest Summer of my life! We had a great morning yesterday-- The kids were so excited to wear their outfits and of course we had to take our annual back to school pics!

Carter loved Kindergarten and his new teacher! He can't wait to REALLY start next week-- Only first day and a quick test this week-- But his first day will be his actual B-day! He's so excited!

Seven Peaks Party!

Every year my Dad and Rosie put on a big Birthday bash for all the kids and grandkids from the Smith and Palmer clan! We do it at Seven Peaks and it is always so much fun! They didn't actually put our names up there-- I had a little fun in photoshop! :)
