One of my idols!

This is Rosie the Riveter-- I have had this sign up in my washroom and garage for years and I love it and her! Rosie the Riveter is a cultural icon of the United States, representing the American women who worked in factories during World War II while the men were out at war.
I love her WORK ethic and the "WE CAN DO IT" attitude! She is what inspired Ry and my couple-costume idea this year -- Ry worked some of his photo shop magic and Mikelle took my pic and this is what it turned into!

Grandma Orange just got more ORANGE!

Grandpa Rand wore his classic scary mask -- and every year it makes someone cry!

This year was Gracie's turn! So sad --but so cute!

A Beautiful Fall Sunday

It was the most beautiful Fall afternoon and evening on Sunday! We went to Bountiful for dinner at my parents and had to make a stop to see the beautiful Fall colors at the temple-- I had a great time shooting some pics too!

Here was Aubrey's version of the temple! She is quite a little artist!

We took the kids up in the orchard and picked some apples-- What better thing to do in the Fall!

Just picked!

and eaten!

Fall leaves -- One of my FAVs!

After dinner we enjoyed looking through pics and adding more to a project I'm working on for our home! I am doing a generation wall in our home and have been scanning pics to add -- This is one we scanned last night -- It's my Great, great, great Grandma Sermon who came over in the Martin and Willey handcart company. She was a very strong and amazing woman who has quite a story -- I'll post more about her and others later --but just have had such a desire lately to get these amazing people up on our wall where we can look at them and be reminded of all they stand for, all they sacrificed, and all that they are hoping we will bring to this world -- We have a legacy to carry on and I hope and pray I can do enough to carry it on!

One of my favorite quotes that I think I am adding to the wall when it's done!

"To you I say with all of the energy of which I am capable,
do not become a weak link in the chain of your generations.
You come to the world with a marvelous inheritance.
You come of great men and women.
Never let them down.
Never do anything which would weaken the chain
of which you are a fundamental part."

IN -N- OUT is IN -N- DONE!

So, YES-- We are crazy! We joined the thousands of others and went to the opening day of IN-N-OUT! We had yummy fries, shakes, and burgers -- and they do have a secret menu and can do cheese sandwiches, animal style, and corn dogs too! Gracie loved her grilled cheeze! Kels was with a friend so we owe her a trip some other time! We sat outside at one of the outdoor tables -- No coats, beautiful night, and almost felt like CA til we looked up at the beautiful FALL colors on the mountain.

(And no worries about Carter -- He didn't eat til he was green -- just refused to take off his "frankenstein" for as long as possible!)

A WITCHY breakfast!

Dad and Rosie got tickets for their grandkids to go to Gardiner Village and have breakfast with the witches! It was so much fun!

and yummy!

They had Carter come up and help with a little number! He got to hold a squeaky rat and was in heaven!
4 little cute heads!

Rosie and Dad with Bruzzella!

She wanted a kiss and He was thinkin' about it but then chickened out!

The cutest little witch there!

Here is Grace's last "monthly shot" on the bench! Amazing to see how fast that year flew by and how fast she has grown! Where did my baby go?!

Grace's B-day party

For Gracie's ONE year party we had a "little dinner" -- The girls and I thought it would be cute to make everything little and mini --It turned out fun and the kids loved it!

This was a fun idea I saw on a blog as a party favor using baby food jars!
