Trigger finger
Amy has had a fun past couple of weeks. For the past few months her 3rd finger on her right hand has been catching. Too busy to notice much, she just kept dealing with it until last Friday it locked in the middle of the night -permanantly! The funny thing is
that Mom came to stay and got here Thursday. We were so glad to see her and she just felt like she should be here. Little did we know that we would REALLY need her help. Amy's finger caught the next night. The tendons were pulling so tight that her had began to swell and by Sat. we decided to skip the date we had planned and go in to the Dr. They shot her finger full of steroids and no luck -- it didn't unlock. So left with a RX for pain meds and and apt. for Mon. morning. She went in and the finger was disloged and they set up surgery for Wed. morning. Mom stayed and saved our lives. The surgery went well. They opened up her hand and cut the pully that was stuck and removed the nodule that had formed. It's been quite the talk and she has lots of good nicknames now. WE like to call her "trigger" and the Young women she works with call her "GUNS". Before her hand was unstuck, Mikelle said, "Mom! You could be on a Superman movie!" All sorts of fun and now we just see how things go! Kind of hard not using your right hand but it's already feeling better -- Here's a link all about trigger finger and a couple pics of Amy's hand pre and post surgery!
